Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instructional content aligned with industry standards, certification requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences through lectures, workshops, webinars, or self-paced modules.
- Assess learner comprehension through quizzes, case studies, and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Collaborate with certifying bodies, employers, or educational platforms to refine course offerings and learning outcomes.
- Provide mentorship, career guidance, and professional development support to learners.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, certification completions, and continuing education credits.
Essential Skills
- Deep subject matter expertise in one or more insurance domains (e.g., property, casualty, life, health, risk management).
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Instructional design proficiency, including familiarity with adult learning principles and e-learning platforms.
- Empathy and adaptability to meet diverse learner needs and experience levels.
- Organizational skills for managing course logistics, deadlines, and compliance documentation.
- Comfort with technology tools such as LMS platforms, webinar software, and digital whiteboards.
Work Environment
Insurance Instructors may teach in-person at conferences, corporate offices, or academic campuses—or remotely via virtual classrooms and digital platforms. The role offers flexibility, with opportunities for freelance engagements, full-time employment, or adjunct teaching. Schedules may vary based on course demand, CE cycles, or designation cohorts.
