They oversee health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other compensation-related benefits, ensuring employees receive competitive and compliant offerings. These specialists collaborate with insurance providers, negotiate plan terms, and analyze benefits trends to optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining employee satisfaction. Additionally, they handle benefits enrollment, assist employees with claims and inquiries, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Beyond administration, HR Benefits Specialists play a key role in employee education and engagement, ensuring staff members understand and maximize their benefits.
