Their work ensures that clients experience a seamless onboarding process and that advisors can focus on planning and relationship management.
Case Managers review applications for completeness, identify missing information, and communicate proactively with advisors and clients to obtain signatures, medical records, financial documents, and other underwriting requirements. They track each case through the underwriting pipeline, monitor carrier updates, and escalate issues when delays or discrepancies arise. Their attention to detail helps prevent errors, reduces cycle times, and improves placement ratios.
Beyond processing, Case Managers serve as knowledgeable liaisons who understand carrier guidelines, underwriting practices, and product-specific requirements. They maintain strong relationships with carrier case teams and BGAs, staying informed about changes in underwriting rules, turnaround times, and documentation standards. By combining organizational skill, technical understanding, and clear communication, Case Managers ensure that life and annuity policies are issued accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
