FPQP™ – Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional is an entry-level designation offered by the College for Financial Planning® – A Kaplan Company. It is designed for individuals in support roles or those new to the financial services industry who want to build foundational knowledge in personal financial planning.
The FPQP™ credential introduces core planning concepts across estate, tax, retirement, insurance, and investment topics. It prepares professionals to assist financial advisors in gathering client data, conducting preliminary analysis, and supporting plan development. While FPQP™ holders may advise clients, they typically operate as part of a broader planning team rather than leading client relationships directly.
📚 Requirements
- Online self-study program with 10 structured modules covering key financial planning topics
- Closed-book final exam with 75 questions; passing score: 70%
- Estimated study time: 100–125 hours
- Program must be completed within 120 days of enrollment
- Continuing education: 16 hours every two years
