CRPC® – Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor is a professional designation offered by the College for Financial Planning® – A Kaplan Company. It is designed for financial professionals who specialize in retirement income planning, Social Security optimization, and distribution strategies for individuals approaching or living in retirement.
The CRPC® credential equips advisors to define a personalized “road map to retirement” for clients, addressing both pre- and post-retirement needs. The curriculum includes retirement savings vehicles, income sources, asset management, estate planning, and specialized modules for government and military retirement benefits.
📚 Requirements
- Online self-study or live instructor-led format available
- Closed-book final exam; must be completed within 120 days of enrollment
- Estimated study time: 100–120 hours
- No formal prerequisites; suitable for both new and experienced advisors
- Continuing education: 16 hours every two years
