Society of Insurance Educators & Trainers (SIET)
Overview
The Society of Insurance Educators & Trainers (SIET) is a professional association dedicated to supporting excellence in insurance education, training, and instructional design. SIET serves trainers, instructional designers, CE providers, corporate educators, and academic faculty across all lines of insurance. Through professional development, networking, and shared best practices, SIET strengthens the professionals who teach and develop the insurance workforce.
Historically, SIET offered the Insurance Training Professional (ITP) designation, a recognition program for insurance educators and trainers. While the ITP remains an important part of SIET’s legacy, it is no longer actively issued. Today, SIET functions primarily as a professional association rather than a credentialing body.
